Happy Resurrection Day....3 Days Late!!

Happy Resurrection Day......3 days late. I hope you and your family had a great day together and you celebrated the miracle of miracles; our Risen Lord.

The Noffsinger family celebrated this blessed event on Saturday. With 2 pastors in the family and lots of church responsibilities for each of us, we discovered last Easter that getting together on Saturday before Easter gave us much more time together and we all were much more relaxed and less stressed. At Christmas each year, "the little Noffsingers" give a presentation pertaining to the birth of Christ. This year I wanted them to begin the tradition of making Easter significant to them and to give their MeMe and Papaw the thrill of seeing them perform. (Their parents got to watch, too.) Here is their presentation:

On the cross, On the cross, they put Jesus on the cross.

In the tomb, In the tomb, they placed Jesus in the tomb.

Up to Heaven, Up to Heaven, Jesus arose and went to Heaven.

Our youngest Noffsinger was fast asleep during the presentation, but he sure enjoyed finding those Easter Eggs!!

Here are some more pics of our day.

David didn't make into any of the pictures that day. Maybe it was because he was the one taking the pictures.. I'll be sure and post some of him at a later time. We had a great day and I am so thankful for the sacrifice Christ made for me on that good Friday more than 2000 years ago.

I love the apostle John's account of that resurrection morning because he gives us a woman's view of the empty tomb. And how precious those words, "I'll never leave you nor forsake you" (Heb. 13:5) must have seemed to Mary Magdalene as she viewed the place where He had lain, heard Him speak her name, and saw Him, in the flesh, standing before her. Maybe it was at that moment that she knew; she was never alone, she was never forsaken.
Neither am I, dear friend, and neither are you.
Happy Easter, Happy Resurrection morning.....3 days late.

Mother's Day is just a few weeks away. Do you have a word of wisdom that your Mom gave to you when you were a child that you would like to share with us? Email one sentence stating a word of advice or wisdom that your Mom gave you as a child that has shaped your life. I would like to publish them on my blog, with your permission of course.
Enjoy the day!!!!
